The London Annual Dragon Boat Race 2011

Raging Dragons would like to say a "big well done" to all the teams that participated at the London Annual Dragon Boat Festival 2011! Especially to those teams who had training with Raging Dragons and powered into the semi-finals and grand final! Really well done to all crews, it is very clear you all have the potential to be great paddlers with the little training you had! We would like to thank the following teams for choosing to train with Raging Dragons - we are very proud of you all and would love to invite you back for more dragon boating:

  • J.P.Morgan
  • PricewaterhouseCoopers
  • International Maritime Organisation
  • Hong Kong Institution of Engineers
  • Joint Hong Kong Universities
  • London China Town Lions Club Team 1
  • Hong Kong Society
  • and the student team Abacus

  • Raging Honeys

On this day the Raging Honeys made club history under the leadership of their Captain Ciara Sutton who set out with one goal - to form an all girls team! And she succeeded! An all-girls crew was born, the Raging Honeys! They raced with exceptional grace and courage, taking-on everything the competiton threw at them and battled all the way into the grand final! Sadly they missed out on silverware after a poor start from the race officials! However regardless of the results the girls have made Rage history, and in doing so also showed the world that girls can dragon boat, and they can do it extremely well! Big congratulations to all the girls, you were all amazing and the entire team is very proud of you all!
